Mr. Whitelock presented the memorial of Thomas Whit-
ridge and 13 other property holders of Baltimore county,
asking that authority shall be given the Comminsioners to
aid in improving the communication between Baltimore, and
Towsontown.
Which wan read and referred to the Baltimore county dele-
gation.
Mr. Purnell presented the petition of Benjamin Bassett and
others, praying that the Lnral Option Law for Worcester
county be repealed, and that license to sell spirituous liquors
be restricted to Hotels in said county.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Purnell, Onley
and Dashiell.
Mr. Whitelock presented the memorial of 25 tax paying
citizens of Baltimore county, asking a change in the law re-
specting usury.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary.
Mr. Waters, of Dorchester, presented the petition of 127
citizens of Dorchester county, praying an appropriation from
the State to assist in the reconstruction of the bridge across
the Nanticoke River, at the town of Vienna in said county.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Hart presented the petition and affidavit of Henry M.
Tiralla, owner of schooner Hester Ann, for the return or $100
paid by him as a fine.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Mr. Robinson presented the petition of George W. Arnold,
Wm. Dawson, John H. Strottlemen and 1,000 other citizens
of Baltimore and Anne Arundel county, asking for a reduc-
tion of tolls on Light Street Bridge.
Which was read and referred to a Select Committee on the
subject.
