Mr. Hoblitzell presented the petition or Frederirk O Bran-
non, Charles L. Lilly, and 300 others, citizens of Maryland,
opposed to the present contract system in the Maryland Peni-
tentiary.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Goldsborough presented the petition of S P. Reynolds
and others, of Caroline county, asking that no law, known
as stock law, be passed for said county, which will prevent
stock from running at large.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Goldsborough,
Culbreth and Hiuks.
Mr Whitelock presented the petition of 90 citizens of Bal-
timore county, remonstrating against the passage of a law to
prevent stock running at large.
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county del-
egation.
Mr. Lambiin presented the petition of Ichabod D, Hur-
ley, and 23 other Hurleys, and 39 other citizens from Hur-
ley's Neck, Dorchester county, asking for an extension of
time to catch muskrats.
Which was read and referred to the Dorchester delegation.
Mr. Whitelock presented the petition of Hiram Woods and
15 property holders of Baltimore county, asking the Assembly
to center power on the Commissioners of that county to aid
the Railway to Towsontown.
Which wad read and referred to the Baltimore county del-
egation.
Mr Whitelock presented the petition of ladies asking the
passage of an Act submitting the question of a license to sell
intoxicating liquors in the City of Baltimore to the voters
thereof.
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore city delega-
tion.
