Mr. Whiteclock presented the petition of 17 residents of
Baltimore county, asking the General Assembly to take no
action to prevent stock running at large in Baltimore county.

Baltimore county, in favor of Local Option.

Mr. Waters, of Carroll, presented the petition of D. M.
Henning, State's Attorney of Carroll county, praying the
passage of an Act empowering Joshua Wisnor. Sr., and
Mary Ann Simpers, to marry each other and legitimate their
children.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Neal presented the petition of Mrs. Henry W. Driver
and others, in favor Local Option.
Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.
Mr. Whitelock presented the petition of the President and
Directors of the Manual Labor School for Indigent Boys, ask-
ing an appropriation to enable them to build a new school
house, and asking a committee to visit the institution.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Curtis presented the petition of the Gunpowder Agri-
cultural Club, Jr.. of Baltimore county, asking that the
Maryland Agricultural College, be converted into a State
Farm School and Experimental Station.
Which was read aud referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.
Mr. Boyle presented the petition of Isaac Scarlow and 23
other citizens of Harford county, asking for the passage of a
law for the election or appointment of a county Treasurer for
said county.
