General Laws of this State, title "Notaries Public," by re-
pealing the 1st Section thereof, and re-enacting the said Sec-
tion with amendments, increasing the number of Notaries
Public in the City of Baltimore, and by adding to said Ar-
ticle an additional Section, giving Notaries Public power to
take acknowledgments of deeds, bills of sale and mortgages,
or other writings required to be recorded, and to administer
any oaths or affirmations required by law, to be made to or
concerning the same.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to amend the Act approved Marcfo
30th, 1868, entitled an Act to incorporate the Gary Manu-
facturing Company of Maryland.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act supplementary to all Act to incor-
porate the Citizens' Railway Company of Baltimore City,
passed at the January Session, 1870.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 456, of the Acts
passed at the January Session, 1874, entitled an Act to pro-
vide lor the better protection of birds in Garrett county, and
to re-enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time and referred to .Messrs. Bar-
nard, Browning and Brooke.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners for Dorchester county to appoint an additional con-
stable for the 1st election district of Dorchester county.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Dorchester
delegation.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to amend the 93d Article of the
Code of Public General Laws, relating to Testamentary Law,
by adding a new Section thereto relating to Devises.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Judiciary.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1874, chapter
