any suit or penalty whatsoever now existing, but all such
suits End actions, and all proceedings under the Acts hereby
repealed, shall be prosecuted and proceeded with to final de-
termination and judgment, or final order, and all other pro-
ceedings shall be had in such actions or proceedures, as if
the Acts repealed by this Act had not been repealed."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Whitelock submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Make Sections "21, 22 and 23," read "22, 23 and 24,"
respectively.
Which was adopted.
The bill as amended was then read a second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1874, chapter
163, entitled an Act to add new sections to Article 22 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, relating to Worcester county, to
be entitled "Sales of Spirituous or Fermented Liquors," and
to enact certain new sections, which shall be added to said
Article 22 of said Code of Public Local Laws, under the sub-
title of "Sales of Spirituous or Fermented Liquors,"
Being upon a second reading,
The amendments submitted by Mr. Purnell, on yesterday,
as entered on the Journal, were then severally read and
adopted.
And the bill, as amended, was read a second time and or-
dered to be engrofcsed for a third reading.
Mr. Hoblitzell, from the Committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported unfavorably on
A bill entitled an Act to amend Section 15, of Article 50,
of the Code of Public General Laws.
The question recurring upon concurring in the report,
Mr. Hodges moved that the bill be substituted for the un-
favorable report bf the Committee, and that said bill be
printed.
Decided in the negative.
The unfavorable report of the Committee was then
adopted.
Also, unfavorably on
A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments, Section 25, of Article 24, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws.
The question recurring upon the adoption of the report,
Mr. Donaldeon moved that the bill be substituted for the
unfavorable report of the Committee.
Decided in the negative.
