On motion of Mr. Hance,
Leave was granted to Calvert, Charles and Prince George's
delegation to introduce a bill to repeal, amend and re-enact
Section 17 of the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at January Session, 1874, chapter 181.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Prince George's delegation to
introduce a bill to repeal, amend and re-enact Section 44 of
the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at
January Session, 1872, chapter 294 entitled an Act to re-
peal Sections 47, 48 and 50 of Article 16 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, entitled "Prince George's county," under
head of "Collectors" enacted by the Act of 1868, chapter 330,
and Sections 44, 45, 49, 55 and 58 of said Article 16, under
same bead, enacted by the Act of 1870, chapter 216, and to
repeal Sections 37, 49, 50, 56 and 57 of Article 81 of the
Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Revenue and Taxes,"
in so far as the same may relate to Prince George's county,
and to add an additional Section to said Public Local Laws.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Prince George's and Anne Arun-
del delegation to introduce a bill for the protection of birds
in Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties.
The House then proceeded to the consideration of the un-
finished business of yesterday.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 55 to 64 inclu-
sive of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore county, entitled
"Collector," and Sections 78 to 90 inclusive, entitled "Treas-
urer," and enact the following, entitled "Treasurer and
Collector," in lieu thereof.
Said bill being upon a second reading,
Mr. Hooper submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Sec. 7, strike out the words "one thousand and five hand-
red," before the word "dollars," and insert "two thousand."
Which was not adopted.
Mr. Whitelock submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Sec. 12, line 14, strike out the word "ten," and insert
"twenty."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Whitelock submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend Section 24, line 3, by adding after the word "re-
pealed," "and that the repeal of the Acts hereinbefore men-
tioned or of any portion thereof, shall not affect or impair
