Mr. Whitelock presented the petition of 33 property-hold-
ers along the line of the Baltimore and Havre-de-Grace Turn-
pike, asking for relief.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.
Mr. Purnell presented the petition of James W, Evans,.
George Jardan and others, praying against the passage of any
law limiting length of seines hauled in the waters of the Isle
of Wight Bay, in Worcester county.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Purnell, Onley
and Dashiell.
Mr. Fitzjarrell presented the petition of James F. Anthony,
Jr., and other citizens, asking the purchase by the State of
private interest now held in the Maryland Agricultural Col-
lege and Model Farm, and to have it made a State Farm
School and Experimental Station.
Which was read and referred to the Committee of Agricul-
ture.
Also,
The petition of James M. Wooters, and other citizens of
Talbot county, asking the purchase by the State of private
interest now held in the Maryland Agricultural College, and
that it be converted into a State Farm School and Experi-
mental Station.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.
Mr. Bird presented the petition of B. S. Dixon and 86
other resident citizens of Calvert county, praying a bill may
not pass, allowing drags, scoops, &c., to be used in the
waters bordering on Calvert county.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ches-
apeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Snowden presented the petition of Charles Wells, Wm.
B. Jones, and 34 tax payers of Prince George's county, ask-
ing that so much of the tax levied upon the property in the
village of Bladensburg for road purposes, be turned over by
the Commissioners of said county to the Commissioners of
said village for road purposes.
Which was read and referred to the Prince George's dele-
gation.
Mr. Baldwin presented the petition of L. E. Armstrong
and other citizens of Baltimore county, asking for Local Op-
tion in said county.
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county dele-
gation
