The question recurring upon concurring in the motion,
On motion of Mr. Donaldson,
The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
whole subject made the order of the day for Wednesday, the
23rd instant.
Mr. Gilly Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means,
to whom leave was granted to introduce a bill entitled an.
Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
ci'y, to subscribe to the capital stock of the Baltimore, Chesa-
penke and Delaware Bay Railroad Company, or to endorse
the bonds of the said Company, reported unfavorably thereon.
The question recurring upon concurring in the Report.
Mr Goldsborough moved that the hill be substituted for
the unfavorable Report of the Committee.

On motion of Mr. Gill,
The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
whole subject ordered to be laid over informally.
Mr. Smith of Dorchester, Chairman of a Select Committee,
to whom was referred the bill entitled an Act, to repeal Section
9, of Article 28 of the Code of Public General Laws relating
to the publication of County expenses, so far as the same re-
lates to Dorchester county, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
Reported thereon with the following proposed amendments.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Section 1. Strike" out all after the word "paid," in line 7.
Strikeouft "Section 2."
The several amendments were read and adopted, and the
bill as amended, read et second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed fur a third reading.
Mr Goldsborough, Chairman of a Select Committee, re-
ported favorably a bill entitled an Act for the protection of
partridges, and to prevent trespassing with dog or gun on
private property in Caroline county.
Which was read a first time.
