Mr. Gill, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act making appropriations for the sup-
port of the State Government for the year ending the 31st
of Decemoer, 1876.
Which was read a first time, and
On motion of Mr. Gill,
Made the order of the day for Thursday, February 17th.
Mr. Harig, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sums of money
therein mentioned to pay the claims of George W. Murdock,
J. W. Kalmey, J. Seth Hopkins & Co., Henry W. Jenkins
& Son, Samuel Stewart, George T. Deiter and J. E. Hayden.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Chaisty, Chairman on the part of the House of the
Joint Committee on Printing, submitted the following
REPORT:
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
The Committee on Printing, in response to the order
adopted by the House on the 8th ult., beg leave to report
that the Governor's Message, the Comptroller's Report and
the Insurance Commissioner's Report are all printed, and, as
soon as obtained from the binder, will be distributed. The
Fishery Report, will be distributed to-morrow. The School
Report is in the hands of the compositor, and will soon be
ready for distribution.
The Printer assures the Committee that he will expedite
matters, so that all the reports will be prepared speedily.

Chairman.

Mr. Hoblitzell, acting Chairman of the Committee on Ju-
diciary, to whom leave was granted to introduce a bill enti-
tled an Act to repeal Sections 1, and 3, of Article 95, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Usury," and to re-enact
the same with amendments—reported unfavorably thereon.
Mr. Donaldson moved that the bill be substituted for the
unfavorable Report.
