So the motion prevailed, and the report was recommitted.
Mr. Stewart, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably, a bill entitled an Act to authorise and require the
Attorney General to institute proceedings to forfeit the char-
ter of the Gas Light Company of Baltimore.
Which was read a first time.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to authorise and require the Attor-
ney General to institute proceedings to forfeit the charter of
the People's Gas Company of Baltimore city.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Neal, Chairman of a Select Committe, reported favor-
ably, a bill entitled an Act to provide for a general index of
certain Records in the office of the Register of Wills for
Queen Anne's county.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Browning, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably, a bill entitled an Act to authorise George L. Mi-
chael, of Garrett county, to erect two Gates on the Publie
Road in said county, leading through the farm of the said
George L. Michael.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Atkinson, from the Committee on Corporations, to
whom leave was granted to introduce a bill entitled an Act,
to incorporate the National Lubricating Company of Mary-
land, reported thereon, and asked that the Committee be dis-
charged from the further consideration thereof, and recom-
mended the reference of the same to the Committee on the
Judiciary,
The Committee were discharged, and the bill so referred.
Mr. Neal, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably, a bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 70, of Article
17, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title, "Queen Anne's,"
sub-title, "Crier," and re-enact the same with amendment.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Browning, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably, a bill entitled an Act for the protection of fish in
the Waters of Garrett county.
Which was read a first time.
