amendments Section 22, of an Act passed at the January
Session, 1870, chapter 182, entitled an Act to repeal an Act
of January Session, 1868, chapter 414, and to enact in lieu
thereof certain Sections, to be arranged in the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws under an Article to be entitled "Military."
On motion of Mr. McGlone,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to add an additional Section
to Article 73, of the Code of Public General Laws, so as to
provide for the care and custody of insane prisoners confined
or hereafter sentenced to confinement in the Penitentiary.
On motion of Mr. Donaldson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 29 and 30,
of Article 5, of the Code of Public General Laws entitled
"Appeals," sub-title "Provisories," relating to appeals from
Courts of Law or Equity, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
On motion of Mr. McGlone,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 5, of Article
73, "Penitentiary," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows.
On motion of Mr. Loane,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to regulate the passage of railroad trains
over points on railroads where tracks cross each other on
grade.
On motion of Mr. Brooke,
Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to intro-
duce a bill to levy a tax on dogs in Allegany county.
On motion of Mr. Loane,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to further amend the charter of the Baltimore
and Drum Point Railroad Company, as incorporated and duly
organized under the Act of 1868, chapter 364, entitled "an
Act to incorporate the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad
Company," and to extend the time for the completion of the
said railroad.
On motion of Mr. Browning,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Browning, Barnard and
Sprigg, te introduce a bill authorizing George L. Michael to
erect two gates on the public road in Garrett county, running
through the farm of the said George L. Michael.
