Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Lankford presented the petition of John B. Menis and
76 other citizens of Somerset county, for better regulation of
Fences in said county.
Which was read and referred to the Somerset delegation.
Mr. Hoblitzell presented the petition of Mrs. Augusta E
Steward, asking payment of a claim for rent, storage and
repairs used by troops in the service of the State, in the year
1864.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Mr. Stewart presented the petition of the trustees of Gen'l
J. R. Trimble, applying for a law authorizing them to build
a pier on Light street wharf, belonging to said estate, west
side of Basin.
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore city delega-
tion.
Mr. Rutledge presented the petition of Benjamin Almony,
and other citizens of Harford county, praying that a pension
be granted to Elizabeth Samns, a widow of a soldier of the
war of 1812.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Hodges presented the petition of Richard O. Crisp and
Richard Cromwell for compensation from the State on ac-
count expenses incurred in widening draw in Light street
bridge.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Mr. Cockey presented the petition of Martin Jones, James
E. Kernm, Saml. W. Jones, James D. Curdle and 70
others, asking that the Oyster Law be let alone, so far as it
relates to the opening of Easton Bay, in common to the citi-
zens of Talbot and Queen Anne's counties.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr, Riggs presented the petition of Daniel P. Duvall, J.
T. McComas, Chas. Wood and 30 other citizens of Maryland,
and land owners therein, praying that Section 67 of Article
30, of the Code of Public General Laws, be so amended as to
punish persona trespassing with gun or dog upon the lands
of others, with fine, and in case of failure to pay such fine
and cost, with imprisonment in county jails.

diciary,
