On motion of Mr. Scott,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judidary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 31, Act of
1865, entitled an Act to add an Article to the Code of Public
General Laws in relation to the publication of Laws, and
enact a substitute therefor.
On motion of Mr. Farrow,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation
to introduce a bill giving the'sanction of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland to the bequest of a legacy in the last will
and testament of Christian Sheller, late of Washington
county, deceased, to the deacons of the Tunkerj or Baptist
Church, at Broad Foarding, in said county.
On motion of Mr. Constable,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to add additional Sections and to repeal and
re-enact, with amendments, Section 5, of Article 13, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Bastardy."
On motion of Mr. Hodges,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to pay Thomas Donaldson and James Revell, Esqs,
a sum of money for legal services rendered the State in the
case of "The Trustees of the Hagerstown Academy vs. Levin
Woolford, Comptroller of the Treasury."
On motion of Mr. Dashiell,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Dashiell, Gordy| and Pur-
neil to introduce a bill for the better protection of birds and
game in Wicomico county.
On motion of Mr. Constable,
Leave was granted to the Cecil delegation to introduce a
bill to incorporate a Company for the establishment of a
Public Cemetery at Elkton, Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Cockey,
Leave was granted to Select Committee on Fisheries, to in-
troduce a bill to amend Section 2, chapter 313, Laws
1872, for the protection of Terrapins.
On motion of Mr. Constable,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill to repeal and re-enact with amendments, sec-
tions 16 and 17, of Article 21, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, relating to judgments.
On motion of Mr. Browning,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to prohibit the selling of certain goods and
merchandise, by non-residents in Garrett county, without a
license.
