On motion of Mr. Browning,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Barnard, Browning and
Atkinson, to introduce a bill for the protection of fish in
Garrett county.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Dorchester,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation, to intro-
duce a bill to allow T. James Todd, to erect and keep a gate
on the county road, between Lickisville and Woodlandtown,
in Dorchester county.
On motion of Mr. Bird,
Leave was granted to the Select Committee on Fisheries, to
introduce a bill to protect fish in the Patuxent river.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Baltimore county,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation, to
introduce a bill submitting to the qualified voters the question
regulating the sale of intoxicating liquor in Baltimore
county.
On motion of Mr. Turner,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Elections, to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 411, Acts of
1874, and re-enact with an amendment.
Mr. Whitelock submitted the following Resolution :
RESOLVED, That the Committee on the Judiciary enquire
into the expediency of providing by law for the better pro-
tection of the interest of small stockholders, in corporations
organized under the laws of this State, and to report by bill
or otherwise.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Hoblitzell, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the speed of
vehicles and equestrians on the approach to Druid Hill Park
from North Avenue, with proposed amendment.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Sec. 1, line 8, strike out the word "have," and insert
"are."
The proposed amendment was adopted, and the bill as
amended read a second time.
Mr. Given, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,
A bill entitled an Act to empower the County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore county, to pay William Burns of the
4th Election District of said county, an amount of money to
pay physician's fee, and for loss of time, in consequence of inju-
