A bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money for
the purpose of making repairs and additions to the furniture
of, and for procuring articles necessary for the uses of the
Executive Mansion.

on Ways and Means.

A bill entitled an Act for the Protection of Hotels and
Boarding-House Keepers, and add a new Article to the Code
of Public General Laws, to be entitled Hotel and Boarding-
House Keepers.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
Also,
Returned the bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments, Section 935, Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "City of Baltimore."
Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In the first line of the title strike out the words "and
enact with amendments."
In the second line of title, after the word "five," insert
the words "of Article four."
In the same line, after the words "of the," insert the
words "Code of."
In the same line, after the word "Baltimore,' insert the
words "sub-title water," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
In Section 1, line 1, after the word "five," insert the
words "of Article four."
In Section 1, line 2, after the word "Baltimore," insert
the words "sub-title water."
The amendments were severally read and adopted, and the
