favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to protect game and birds in Wash-
ington county.

Mr. Griffith, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 5, of chapter 381,
of the Acts of 1872, entitled an Act to provide for the de-
struction of hawks and owls, and to protect the class of small
birds, known as "Insectivorous Birds," in Prince George's,
Talbot and Montgomery counties, and to re-enact the same
with amendments, so as to exclude Montgomery and Talbot
counties from the provision of said Section.

Mr. Vandiver, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Harford county to divide any of the election dis-
tricts in said county into election precincts, and to designate
the places of holding elections therein.

Mr. Scott, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act giving the sanction of the General
Assembly of Maryland, to the bequest of a legacy in the last
will and testament of Daniel Woolford, late of Washington
county, deceased, to the Church of God, at Broad Fording,
in Washington county.

We have received your message, proposing the appoint-
ment of a Joint Committee of two, on the part of the Sen-
ate, and three, on the part of the House, to notify General
James R. Herbert of his election as Police Commissioner for
Baltimore city, and concur therein.
