the passage of a law to allow scooping and dredging in the
waters of Little Choptank River, Dorchester county.

Mr. Hurt presented the petition of Barbara Bower, widow
of John Jacob Bower, praying to be placed upon the pen-
sion roll of the State.

W. Grove and 160 others, for the passage of an Act to pro-
vide for the taxation of dogs, and the protection of sheep in
Washington county.

and 18 female operatives in Mt. Washington Factory, Balti-
more county, asking protection against the evil arising from
the sale of intoxicating liquors near that Factory.
