Mr. Donaldson submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly re-
serves to itself the right to alter or repeal the charter hereby
extended.
Which was adopted.
The bill, as amended, was then read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.
Also, favorably,
The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Ocean City
Bridge Company, with proposed amendment.
Said bill being upon a second reading.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out Section 16.
The amendment proposed by the Committee was adopted,
and
The bill, as amended, read a second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Loane Chairman of the Committee on Corporations re-
ported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to authorize the residents of White
Marsh Parish, in Talbot county, to make Saint Paul's their
Parish Church.
Which was read a first time.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to amend the Charter of the Park-
ton and Manchester Railroad Company, by providing that
juries selected to condemn private property for the location
of the Parkton and Manchester Railroad, shall take into con-
sideration benefits to be derived by owners of property so
condemned as well as damages.
Which was read a first time.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled an Act to
incorporate the Safe Deposit Company of Baltimore, chapter
242 of the Acts of tho General Assembly of 1864, and the
Acts amendatory thereof, being chapter 82, of 1867, and to
change the name of said corporation, to the Safe Deposit
and Trust Company of Baltimore.
Which was considered.
Also,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to change the name of the
Trustee of the Roman Catholic Asylum for Widows in the
City of Baltimore, incorporated by chapter 190, of the Acts of
