Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,
The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said-
bill made the order of the day for Tuesday, the 7th day of
February.
The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to
refund to Edgar Plummer, Hiram G. Dudley. David Riley,
H. D. ML Howard, L. C. Graves, Charles R Hamilton,
William Hoffman and J H Marshall, the sum of forty dol-
lars each, erroneously paid into the Treasury,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to prohibit the Clerk of the Cir-
cuit Court of Calvert county from issuing license to venders
of spirituous or fermented liquors within two miles of Manor-
wood Church or of Smithville, Calvert county,
Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Bird,
The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill recommitted to the Select Committee reporting the same.
The bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled an Act
to incorporate the Safe Deposit Company of Baltimore, chap.
242 o( the Acts of Assembly of 1864, and the Acts amenda-
tory thereof, being chapter 82 of 1867, and chapter 394 of
1868, and to change the name of said corporation to the Safe
Deposit and Trust Company of Baltimore,
Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Loane,
The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill recommitted to the Committee on Corporations.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following Mes-
sage.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable
Body, that the Committees on the State Library, of the two
Houses, be authorized to act as a Joint Standing Committee
on the State Library.
