widow of James Hackett, a soldier in the war of 1812, form-
erly of Queen Anne's county, asking for a pension.

Mr. Lamotte presented the petition of John Merryman,
President of the Parkton and Manchester Railroad Company,

Mr. Gwynn presented the petition of J. S. Rawlings & Co.,
asking to be paid for Tobacco burnt in Tobacco Warehouses
Nos. 1 and 2 of Baltimore city.

Mr. Whitelock presented the petition of William J. Day,
and 14 other citizens of Baltimore county, for the removal of
the Eastern Hay Scales.
Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.

The petition of 232 tax-payers of Baltimore county asking
the passage of a law taxing all kind of property, and also,
asking a change in the mode of collecting taxes in that
county.
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county
delegation.
Mr. Koons presented the petition of Isaac Nicodemus, D.
W. Nail and others, praying the passage of an Act amending
the Act of 1872, chapter 197, incorporating the Liberty and
New Windsor Turnpike Company in Frederick county.
Which was read and referred to the Frederick delegation.
Mr. Donaldson presented the petition of Dawson Lawrance,
Joseph Harman, and Wm. Isaacs, and many others, praying
for the passage of a law forbidding sale of liquor within four
miles of Glenally, in Howard county.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Donaldson, Clark
and Lamotte.
