164 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 25,
of chapter 181, of the Actf of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, entitled an Act to repeal Article 71, of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Oysters," as amended and re-
enacted by chapter 364, of the Acts passed at January Ses-
sion, 1870, and also, chapter 167, of the Acts passed at
January Session, 1872, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
On motion of Mr. Gill,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill to make it a penal offence for any Bank, Cor-
poration or individual, to pay to the Treasurer of this State,
aiy interest upon the moneys of the State deposited there-
with, or for the said Treasurer to receive such.
On motion of Mr. Ward,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill to protect citizens of Cecil county, by prevent-
ing citizens of other States from fishing in said waters, ex-
cept under certain restrictions.
On motion of Mr. Brown,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections, to
introduce a bill to regulate the weighing and inspection of
grain.
On motion of Mr. Vandiver,
Leave was granted to the Harford delegation, to introduce
a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of Harford
county, in their discretion to divide any of the election dis-
tricts in said county, into election precincts, and designate
the places of holding elections therein.
On motion of Mr. Hance,
Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel and Prince
George's delegations, to report a bill to repeal and amend
and re-enact Section 4, of the Act of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at January Session, 1854, chapter 85,
entitled an Act to incorporate a Company to erect, a bridge
over the Patuxent river, between Anne Arundel and Prince
George's counties.
On motion of Mr. Loane,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means,
to introduce a bill to provide for licensing Pawn-brokers.
On motion of Vandiver,
Leave was granted to the Harford delegation, to introduce
a bill to protect citizens of Harford county, by presenting
citizens of other States from fishing in said waters, except
under certain restrictions.
