ment of the several sums appropriated to the support of the
Militia by the Acts of January Session, 1874, giving the per-
sons to whom, and the services for which said sums were dis-
bursed, and the several amounts.
On motion of Mr. Ward,
WHEREAS, Samuel B. D. Jones, and officer elect of this
House, has been compelled on account of sickness, to decline
the appointment.
And whereas, John T. Parsons has been substituted by the
Committee on Organization, in place of said Jones, and has
been in the service of this House from the earliest moment
the said Jones could have been here.
Therefore, ordered, That John T. Parsons be allowed the
same pay that the said Jones would have been entitled to-
On motion of Mr. Fenton
Ordered, That the Chairman of each of the Standing
Committees of this House have forwarded to the Reading
Clerk of the House, to be read by him, the time and place of
the regular meeting of their several Committees.
On motion of Mr. Albaugh,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Agriculture to in-
troduce a bill to provide a wholesale market in the City of
Baltimore, to accommodate the fruit, vegetable and oyster
interest of the State.
On motion of Mr. Donaldson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 6, of Article
46 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Inebriates,' and
to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Farrow,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation, to
introduce a bill to add additional Sections to Article 21, of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Washington county, in rela-
tion to horses and carriages kept at livery in said county.
On motion of Mr. McGlone,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill, entitled an Act to add an additional Section
to Article 26, of the Code of Public General Laws, as amend-
ed and passed at the January Session of 1868, chapter 471
On motion of Mr. Hawkins,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay
and its Tributaries, to introduce a bill to repeal Section 17,
