W. B. Peter, Journal Clerk, for work done out of hours,

Mr. Rutledge, Chairman of the Committee on the Library,
reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act providing for a State subscrip-
tion to J. Thomas Scharf's History of Maryland.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Harig, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, report-
ed favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to pay to John W. Temple,
Clerk of the Circuit Court of Caroline county, the sum of one
hundred and one dollars and sixty cents, for fees due him by
the State, in the cases of the State against Thomas W.
Kemp and Geo. McKeigler.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Harig, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, report-
ed unfavorably,
A bill entitled an Act to require the Comptroller to revise
the settlement heretofore made with Horace Resley, late Clerk
of Allegany county, and to pay to said Resley such amount
as may be found due him on such revision.
The report wa« adopted.
Said bill was returned to the Senate.
Mr. Boyer, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported un-
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to prevent the floating of gill seines
within the haul of any haul seines in the waters of Chester
river, between the towns of Wilmington and Chestertown, on
said river.
The unfavorable report was adopted.
Mr. Robinson, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
