The House met and was opened with prayer, by the Rev.
Father Schwarz.

Mr. Ranger presented the petition of John M. Gott, ask-
ing for certain restrictions upon the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.
On motion of Mr. Gordy, it was
Ordered, That John T. Parsons have leave of absence
until Monday next.
Mr. Lancaster submitted the following order :
Ordered, That Conrad Printz and Mr. Scott (a page of
this House) be and they are entitled to and be paid one hun-
dred dollars each, for the efficient and faithful manner in
which they have discharged their duty.
Which was read.
Mr. Snowden submitted the following order :
Ordered, That the second reading files be taken up and
disposed of after the Finance bills have been considered ; as
there are just sufficient number of days left this Session to
enable such bills to pass their regular course through both
Houses.
Which was rejected.
Mr. Stewart submitted the following order:
Ordered, That the sum of three hundred dollars be paid
