Favorably, a bill entitled an Act to release to Mortimer C.
Griffith, Philemon C. Griffith, Mary R. Dorsey and Emeline
C Orm, children of Philemon Griffith, deceased, all the
rights and interest pf the State of Maryland, in and to a be-
quest of two thousand dollars made by the will of said de-
ceased to his wife, Ann Griffith, who died before her husband
without heirs.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Loane, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably a bill entitled an Act to extend the char-
ter of the Grand Division of the State of Maryland, of the
Order of the Sons of Temperance, passed December Session,
1845, chapter 159.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Onley, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably, a bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Wor-
cester Railroad Company and its supplements.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Gill, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 951, Public Lo-
cal Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore."
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Lewis, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably a bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Section 935, Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "City of Baltimore."
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Atkinson, Chairman, of a Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act for the better protection of
human life in the Coal Mines of Allegany county.
Which was read a first time.
The hour having arrived for taking ap the order of the
day,
The House proceeded to the consideration of the unfinished
business of yesterday,
Being the motion submitted by Mr. Donaldson, that the
Report of the Joint Committee on Printing be recommitted
to the Committee reporting the same.
The question recurring upon the amendment submitted by
Mr. Lambdin to postponed the farther consideration thereof
until Monday next,
It was decided in the negative.
