On motion of Mr. Browning,
Leave was granted to the Messrs. Browning, Barnard:
and Atkinson to introduce a bill to prevent the herding of
cattle, by non-residents, in Garrett county.
On motion of Mr. Rutledge,
Leave was granted to the Harford delegation to introduce a
bill to authorize the Commissioners of Bel Air, Harford
county, to collect and receipt for certain moneys.
On motion of Mr. Baldwin,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill to repeal an Act paised at the Session of 1874,,
chapter 374, entitled an Act for the better protection of per-
sons and property in Baltimore county.
On motion of Mr. Neal,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 39, 57 and
62 of Article 47, of the Maryland Code of Public General
Laws, entitled " Inheritance," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
On motion of Mr. Lamotte,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to refund John J. Abbotte, late Collector of
Taxes, 6th District of Carroll, for moneys over-paid into the
Treasury.
On motion of Mr Smith, of Baltimore county,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill to prohibit the sale of Intoxicating Liquors at
or within one mile of Warren Factory, in Baltimore county.
On motion of Mr. Hooper,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to in-
troduce a bill to repeal Section 2, of chapter 2; Section 1, 2,
3 and 4, of chapter 17, of an Act passed January, 1872, en-
titled an Act providing a general system of Free Public
Schools for State of Maryland, also, to repeal Section 3, chap-
ter 2, and Section 1, chapter 13, of an Act passed January
Session, 1874, chapter 463, entitled an Act to repeal an Act
passed at the January Session of 1872, entitled "Public Edu-
cation, &c.," and to repeal all laws inconsistent therewith,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Gunby,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to pay Luther A. Whittington, Albert Harvey,
and Thomas J. Handy, a sum of money.
