On motion of Mr. Ford,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal Section 36, Article 10, of the Public
General Laws of this State, entitled "Attachments," and re-
enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Gordy,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Gordy, Dashiell and Onley,
to introduce a bill authorizing the Commissioners of Wi-
comico county to levy a sum of money to defray the expenses
of William B. Gordy, while insane and remaining in the Wary-
land Hospital for the Insane, or any other institution of like
character in this State.
On motion of Mr. Browning,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Barnard, Browning and
Brooke, to introduce a bill to regulate the per diem of the
County Surveyor in Garrett county.
On motion of Mr. Purnell,
Leave was granted to Worcester delegation and Mr. Ford,
to introduce a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of
Worcester county to levy a sum of money, or issue bonds, for
repairing and altering the Court House in said county.
On motion of Mr. Gill,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize the bequest of
George N. Johnston to the German Lutheran Evangelical
St. Matthew's Congregation.
On motion of Mr. Dodson,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Dodson, Fitzjarrell and
Koons, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to empower the
Clerk of the County Commissioners for Talbot county to ad-
minister au oath or affirmation to any account to any person
presenting a claim to the Commissioners against the county.
On motion of Mr. Hodges,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Act of
1865, chapter 31, entitled "Publication of Laws," and to
Te-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Naill,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal section 2, of Article 37, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Evidence," sub-title
"Competence of Witnesses," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
