The question recurring upon concuring in the Message.
On motion of Mr. Gill, the Message was laid on the table.
Mr. Whitelock presented the petition of Philip T. George,
and fifty-one other citizens of Baltimore county, asking the
removal of the Eastern Hay-Scales, in the Oity of Balti-
more.
Which was read, and referied to a Select Committee on
that subject.
Mr. Gill presented the memorial of the Visitors and Gov-
ernors of St. John's College, and memorial of the Alumni
of St. John's College, to the General Assembly of Mary-
land, January Session, 1876.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.
Mr. Ward presented the memorial of A. G. Tuite and
three hundred other citizens of Cecil county, praying the re-
peal of chapter 439 of the Acts of J874, in relation to licenses*
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.
Mr. Gordy presented the petition of Hon. J. R. Franklin,
Col. Wm. J. Leonard, Wm. Birckbead, Milton A. Parsons
and others, praying the passage of an Act, authorizing the
Commissioners of Wicomico county to levy a sum of money
to support Wm. B. Gordy, an -insane person in said county.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Gordy, Dashiell
and Purnell.
Mr. Naill presented the application of Reuben Grove, of
Frederick county, asking for a pension as a soldier, in the
war of 1812.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Atkinson presented the petition of Samuel Johnson
and fifty-three others, praying for a readjustment of a part
of the boundary between the counties of Allegany and Gar-
rett.
