and Means.
Mr. Chaisty presented a petition for the removal of the
Live Stock Scales, signed by G. E. Hambleton and others.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.

The petition for removal of Live Stock Yards, signed by G.
E. Reardon and others.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.
Also,
The etition for removal of the Live Stock Scales, signed by
P. M. Snowden and others.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions,

The etition for the removal of the Live Stock Scales, sign-
ed by Dr. Ed. Schwarth and others.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.
Mr. Mattingly presented the petition of Henry J. Carroll
and other citizens of St. Mary's county, for the passage of a
law creating a county Treasurer.
Which was read and referred to the St. Mary's delegation.
Mr. Hess presented the petition of Jno. Turnbull and
others, and George D. McClure and others for the removal of
the Live Stock Scales.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.
On motion of Mr, Mattingly, it was
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that R. John-
son Colton, Sergeant-at- Arms, is prevented from attending to
his duties on account of sickness.
On motion of Mr. Gill, it was
Ordered, That the Committee of Ways and Means are
hereby authorized to sit at any time during the Session.
On motion of Mr. Berkemier, it was
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that the ab-
sence of Mr. Coburn, several days last week, was, caused by
his being at Ellicott city, in obedience to a summons from
Howard County Court.
