The bill, as amended, was then read a second time.
Mr. Dodson, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably, with proposed amendments,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the catching of
fish in the waters of Talbot county, and in the Choptank
river, and its tributaries.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend title by striking out the words "Talbot county and
in," and after the word "tributaries" add the words "within
the limits of Dorchester county."
In lines 3 and 4, Section 1, amend by striking out the words
"Talbot county, and in the voters of" in line 3, Section
1, amend by inserting after the word "tributaries" the words
"within the limits of Dorchester county."
Strike out Section 2, and substitute in lieu thereof the fol-
lowing :
"Section 2. And be it enacted, That it shall not be lawful
at any time to haul a seine of any size or dimensions, in any
creek or tributary of the said Choptank river, within the
limits of the county aforesaid, provided the mouth of any
such creek or tributary be not over one hundred yards wide,
at law water mark, for the purpose of catching fish, or upon
any pretence whatever."
In line 3, Section 3, amend by striking out the words
"either of."
In lines 4 and 5, Section 3, make "counties" read "county ;"
and in same line, strike out the words "Talbot or Caroline,
opposite the shores where the offence is committed."
Which were adopted, and the bill, as amended, read a
second time.

ably,
A bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Maryland Agri-
cultural and Mechanical Association.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Robinson, Chairman oi the Committee on Education,
reported unfavorably,
A bill entitled an Act for the establishment of the male de-
partment of the State Normal School at St. John's College,
in the city of Annapolis.
The unfavorable report was adopted.
Mr. Mattingly, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to permit the bona fide residents of
