On motion of Mr. Sprigg,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill for the relief of Dr. C. H. Ohr, of Allegany
county.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following Mes-
sage:
By THE SENATE,
January 19th, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We have received your message informing the Senate that
the Joint Standing Committee appointed in conformity to
Section 24, Article 3, of the Constitution, has been instructed
by an order of your Honorable Body to inquire as to the al-
leged receipt by the State Treasurer, of interest or other con-
sideration from banks or other associations for placing the
State's money on deposit therein, and that you have instruct-
ed the said Committee to proceed at once with said inquiry,
and to sit during the sitting of either or both Houses of the
General Assembly, and that the said Committee report
within fourteen days, and respectfully concur therein.

Also, delivered the following bill.
A bill entitled an Act to provide for the removal of
guardianship entered in the office of the Register of Wills,
of Allegany county, to remove said guardianship to Garrett
county, where the guardian, ward or wards reside in Garrett
county.
Which was read a fi^rst time and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Judiciary.
