On motion of Mr. Mattingly,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries, to introduce a bill to appropriate a
sum of money to pay H. F. Moore, of St. Mary's county, for
services rendered in assisting in the capture of persons viola-
ting the Oyster Laws of the State, and for damages to prop-
erty used in effecting said capture.
On motion of Mr. Loane,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a hill to incorporate the Consumers' Mutual Gas-
Light Company of Batimore city.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Dorchester,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation to intro-
duce a bill to repeal Section 9, of Article 28, of the Code of
Public General Laws, relating to the publication of county
expenses, so far as the same relates to Dorchester county,
and to re-enact the same with amendment.
On motion of Mr. Rutledge,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to amend Sections 5 and 7, of Article 10, of
Code of Publio General Laws, entitled "Attachment."
On motion of Mr. Browning,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to provide for carrying into effect Section
41, of Article 4, of the Constitution, in Garrett county.
On motion of Mr. Mattingly,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to refund toY. P. Dawkins, of St. Mary's county,
taxes erroneously paid into the Treasury.
On motion of Mr. Ford,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries to introduce a bill to repeal Sections
2, 4, 24 and 35 of chapter 181, title "Oysters," and re-enact
the same with amendments thereto.
On motion of Mr. Gill,
Leave was granted-to the Committee on Education to
introduce a bill, entitled an Act granting to the Johns Hop-
kins University the power to grant certain degrees.
On motion of Mr. Rutledge,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to amend Section 16, of Article 50; of the
Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Juries," as amended,
by Act of 1872, chapter 40.
