The question then recurring upon the adoptionof the

It was rejected.
Mr. Scott submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED,
Amend line 4, Section 5, by inserting after words "pro.
rata," the following, "by the Secretary, Treasurer and Ex
aminer of the respective counties, upon the order of the
School Commissioners of said county."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Donaldson moved that Section 5, as amended, stand
approved as a Section of the bill,
