CHAPTER 466.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
77A of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title
"Fire Companies", as said section was enacted by Chapter
241 of the Acts of 1935, authorizing an increase to be levied
for the Volunteer Fire Companies of St. Mary's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 77A of Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's
County", sub-title "Fire Companies", as said section was en-
acted by Chapter 241 of the Acts of 1935, be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

77A. The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County are
hereby authorized to levy and appropriate annually a sum of
money, not exceeding One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($1, 500. 00) for the use of any Volunteer Fire Company or
Companies in said County. Any sum or sums appropriated
under the provisions of this section shall be paid by the County
Treasurer to such person or persons as may be ordered by the
said County Commissioners and shall be used only for the pur-
pose of purchasing and repairing fire apparatus and equipment
and for the maintenance and support of such Volunteer Fire
Company or Companies as shall be designated by the said
County Commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 467.

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 8 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said new sec-
tions to be known as Sections 141A and 141B of said Article,
authorizing and directing the County Commissioners of
Cecil County to levy annually a sum of money and to pay
the same to the several Volunteer Fire Companies in said
County for the maintenance thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
