aggregate of thirty days be held in any one year on any one
track within the State of Maryland; provided, however, that
the Commission shall issue no license nor award any dates
for racing on any tracks or places for holding races in Mary-
land, unless on such tracks or places for holding races, races
have been run or held at least once in every year for a period
of three consecutive years immediately prior to the passage
of this Act. The intent and purpose of this proviso being
that no new or additional tracks or places for holding races
shall be licensed or awarded dates for holding or conducting
races.

8. Except in the case of the trotting and pacing meeting,
as provided in Section 7, each applicant desiring to hold
races on the days or day awarded by the Commission shall,
before the issuance of any license therefor, pay to the said
Commission a license fee of six thousand ($6, 000) dollars for
each day of any meeting for the conduct of races so licensed.
Provided, however, that nothing in this Article shall be con-
strued to repeal the provisions of Chapter 264 of the Acts of
1918, except that the Maryland Racing Commission herein
created shall be substituted for the Racing Commission of
Baltimore County mentioned in said Chapter 264 of the Acts
of 1918, and shall be paid and be entitled to receive the license
fee prescribed in Section 432 of the Revised Code of the Pub-
lic Local Laws of Baltimore County, Edition of 1915, title,
"Racing Commission", as said Section 432 was amended by
Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1918; and on or before the last days
of June and December in each year, the Commission shall pay
said license fee so received to the Treasurer of Baltimore
County for the uses and purposes described in Section 435
of the Revised Code of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore
County, Edition of 1916, as said Section 435 was amended
by Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1918.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 409.

An ACT to add a new section to Article 20 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somer-
set County", sub-title "Officers' Fees", said new section to be
known as Section 241A, to follow immediately after Section
