39. The Superintendent of the Department of State Police
is hereby authorized to install, operate and maintain the tele-
typewriter system and to employ the necessary personnel,
within the appropriation, for its installation, operation and
maintenance; the persons so employed may be members of the
State Police or civilian employees particularly qualified for
the duties they are to perform.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 407.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Crimes and Pun-
ishments", sub-title "Disturbance of the Public Peace", said
new section to be known as Section 118A, and to follow
immediately after Section 118 of said Article, to prohibit
the throwing of lighted fireworks from or at moving vehicles
in Montgomery County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title
"Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Disturbance of the Pub-
lic Peace", said new section to be known as Section 118A, to
follow immediately after Section 118 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

118A. It shall be unlawful for any person to drop or throw
any lighted firecrackers, squibs, rockets or other combustible
fireworks from, at or into, any moving train, boat, motor car
or other vehicle of any kind in Montgomery County. Any
person violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty
of misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be subject to a
fine of not more than Twenty-five Dollars ($25) for each
offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.
