Infant and Child Health Center, Incorporated, and to levy
and collect annually a sum of money sufficient to meet any
obligations incurred as aforesaid.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two new sections be and they are hereby added to
Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Washington County", to be under sub-
title "Infant and Child Health Center", said new sections to be
known as Sections 533A and 533B, to follow immediately after
Section 533 of said Article, and to read as follows:
533A. The County Commissioners of Washington County
are hereby authorized and directed, in their discretion, to enter
into a contract with the "Infant and Child Health Center,
Incorporated" whereby they shall contract to contribute an-
nually a sum of money not to exceed twenty-five hundred
($2500. 00) dollars for the care and maintenance of the health
center under the control and direction of the said "Infant and
Child Health Center, Incorporated. "
533B. For the purpose of carrying out the obligations which
may be incurred under the provisions of the aforegoing section
that the said County Commissioners of Washington County
be and they are hereby authorized and directed, in their dis-
cretion, to levy and collect annually on the assessable property
of said county a sum of money sufficient to meet the obliga-
tions to be incurred by the said County Commissioners of
Washington County under the provisions of the aforegoing
section.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.
