be good for one year from its date, unless sooner revoked by
the County Commissioners.

421G. "On sale" licenses shall be granted only to bona fide
restaurants, incorporated clubs, and/or hotels. "On sale" li-
censees may serve beverages to bona fide guests only, to be
consumed at regular public tables, or, in the case of hotels,
may be served in guests' rooms; or such licensees may also sell
for consumption off the premises, as provided in Section 421E.

The word "hotel", as used in this section, means any estab-
lishment for the accommodation of the public equipped with
not less than six bedrooms, containing not less than one bed
in each room, with sufficient covering therefor, and equipped
with a public dining room furnishing not less than three
meals per day, wherein the average daily receipts from the
hire of rooms and the sale of cooked and prepared foods ex-
ceeds the receipts from the sale of "alcoholic beverages. "

The word "restaurant", as used in this section, means any
lunch room, cafe or other establishment furnishing meals to
the public, wherein the average daily receipts from the sale
of cooked or prepared foods exceeds fifty per centum (50%)
of the receipts from the sale of "alcoholic beverages. "

The word "club", as used in this section, means any corpora-
tion or association created by competent authority, which is
the owner, lessee or occupant of premises operated solely for
educational, social, patriotic, political or athletic purposes
and not for profit.

421H. No person, firm, club, association or corporation
shall sell, or offer for sale, in Harford County any of the bev-
erages defined in this Act between the hours of one o'clock
A. M. and seven o'clock A. M. on week days, nor between the
hours of one o'clock A. M. and twelve o'clock noon on Sundays.
No licensee under the provisions of this Act shall permit
dancing on the premises, on which such licensee exercises the
privileges granted hereunder, at any time on Sundays.

421-1. It shall be the duty of all holders of "On sale" li-
censes to keep complete and accurate books of account, in
such form as may be hereafter prescribed by the Sheriff of
Harford County, showing in detail the daily receipts from the
hire of rooms and from the sale of cooked or prepared foods
and the daily receipts from the sale of alcoholic beverages,
which said books of account shall be open at all times to an
inspection by the said Sheriff, or one of his deputies.

It shall be the duty of the Sheriff of Harford County to
have frequent inspections made of the premises of all licensees;
and, if it is found that any such licensee is violating any of the
