tion), title "Calvert County", sub-title "County Treasurer",
said new section to be known as Section 89A, and to follow
immediately after Section 89 of said Article, and to read as
follows:

89A. The County Treasurer is hereby authorized to ap-
point a deputy to assist him in his work. The said deputy to
be paid an annual salary of Fifteen Hundred Dollars
($1, 500. 00). The County Commissioners are hereby author-
ized and directed to levy the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars
($1, 500. 00) per annum for the fiscal year 1937 and for each
fiscal year thereafter to pay the salary of said deputy, and
the County Commissioners are hereby authorized to pay the
said County Treasurer for clerk hire for each of the years
1935 and 1936 the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars
(11, 500. 00).

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency Act and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and be-
ing passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the Gen-
eral Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 264.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sub-Sec-
tions (2A), (2B), (3A), (4A), (5A), (6A) and (7A) of Sec-
tion 194 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1935 Supplement), as the same was re-enacted by Chapter
142 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland at the
first Special Session of 1936, title "Licenses", sub-title
"Motor Vehicles", sub-heading "Speed, Size, Weight, Con-
struction and Equipment of Motor Vehicles", relating to the
weights of motor vehicles and loads.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-Sections (2A), (2B), (3A), (4A), (5A), (6A)
and (7A) of Section 194 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1935 Supplement), as the same was re-enacted
by Chapter 142 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
laud at the first Special Session of 1936, title "Licenses", sub-
title "Motor Vehicles", sub-heading "Speed, Size, Weight, Con-
struction and Equipment of Motor Vehicles", be and they are
