provided, that vacations or leave of absence be granted in
accordance with the seniority of the members as the members
may prefer, and the compensation of every member of the
Fire Department or probationary member, after one year of
service, shall be not less than One Hundred and Forty-five
Dollars ($145.00) per month.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1,1937.

CHAPTER 44.

AN ACT to repeal Section 442 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Alle-
gany County", sub-title "Manufacturers and Miners", said
section relating to attachment of wages.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 442 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County",
sub-title "Manufacturers and Miners", be and it is hereby
repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
. been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 991
of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County," sub-title
"Washington Suburban Sanitary District," and Section 1015
of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Prince George's County," sub-title
"Washington Suburban Sanitary District," so as to change
the terms of office of the members of the Washington Subur-
