other one-half of the Town of Takoma Park. In like manner on
the first day of each month following his appointment he shall
account for and pay over to the said Town of Takoma Park all
fees, fines, penalties, forfeitures and costs received by or im-
posed by him on account of all civil and criminal actions
arising within that portion of the said Thirteenth Election
District of Montgomery County within the corporate limits of
the Town of Takoma Park not designated by law to be other-
wise paid; all other fees, fines, penalties, forfeitures and costs
shall in like manner he paid to the County Commissioners for
said Montgomery County.

Before entering upon the duties of his office, he shall give
bond to the State of Maryland, in the penalty of One Thousand
Dollars, with a surety, or sureties, to be approved by the
County Commissioners of said Montgomery County, con-
ditioned that he will well and faithfully execute the duties and
obligations of Justice of the Peace, and that he will account
for and pay over to the said Board of County Commissioners
and to the said Town of Takoma Park, respectively, all fees,
fines, penalties, forfeitures and costs imposed by him and due
said County or said Town respectively, as herein provided.
The said Police Justice shall be paid a salary of Twelve Hun-
dred Dollars ($1,200.00) per annum, which shall include all
expenses in connection with the duties of his office. Of his
salary, the sum of Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) per annum
shall be paid by the Town of Takoma Park, Maryland, from
its general revenues, and the remaining Six Hundred Dollars
($600.00) per annum shall be paid by the County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery County; and the said County Com-
missioners of Montgomery County are hereby authorized, em-
powered and directed to include in their next annual levy an
amount necessary to pay the said portion of the salary of the
said Police Justice so to be paid by the said County. The said
Police Justice shall have all the powers vested in and shall
perform all the duties now required of the Police Justice for
Montgomery County, but his additional jurisdiction shall be
limited to those offenses committed within the corporate limits
of the Town of Takoma Park within the Thirteenth Election
District of said Montgomery County and not elsewhere; but
nothing herein shall be construed as limiting his said power
as a Justice of the Peace for the entire Thirteenth Election
District.

On and after the effective date of this Act, the Justice of
the Peace appointed from and residing in that portion of the
Thirteenth Election District in Montgomery County, lying
within the bounds of the Town of Takoma Park, as provided
in Chapter 433, Section 489A of the Acts of the General
Assembly, in session in 1933, shall have no jurisdiction to hear
