CHAPTER 23.

AN ACT to repeal Section 72 of Article 11 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland (1924 Edition), title
"Banks and Trust Companies", sub-title "General Regula-
tions", said section relating to the double liability of stock-
holders of banks and trust companies.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 24.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Mont-
gomery County", said new section to be known as Section
323A, to be under new sub-title "Firearms", and to follow
immediately after Section 323 of said Article, regulating the
use of firearms by minors, imposing liability on adults for
damages caused by minors in certain cases and fixing penal-
ties for violations thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly, of Mary
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Montgomery County", said new section to be
known as Section 323A, to follow immediately after Section
323 of said Article, and to read as follows:

323A. It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of
sixteen (16) years to discharge any firearms whatsover at
any time unless personally accompanied by a responsible adult
and such accompanying adult shall be liable in civil action
for any damage to person or property caused by the negligent
use of said firearms by such person. Any person who shall
violate the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a
fine of not less than $5. 00 nor more than $25. 00. Provided,
however, the provisions of this Act shall not apply to any
person or persons while hunting game, during the hunting
season, to anyone shooting at a licensed shooting gallery, or
to anyone shooting skeet or clay pigeons.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.
