missioners, to be used for County purposes; and the said
County Commissioners shall have the right at any time to
examine the books and accounts of the said Sheriff.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the Gen-
eral Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 22.

AN ACT to add one new section to Article 8 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 140B, to follow immediately
after 140A of said Article, authorizing acquisition of lands
by the County Commissioners of Cecil County for certain
purposes and to provide for the disposition thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 8
of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Cecil County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said new
section to be known as Section 140B, to follow immediately
after 140A of said Article and to read as follows:

140B. The County Commissioners of Cecil County shall
have power and authority to acquire lands within said County,
suitable for forest or game preserves or parks, by gift, pur-
chase, condemnation or otherwise, and for such purpose to
appropriate in any year, and include in their levy, such sums
as they deem justified. Said County Commissioners may at
any time give, lease or sell all or any part of the lands so
acquired or the use thereof to any department or agency of
this State authorized to acquire the same, for use as a state
forest preserve, or state game preserve or state park.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.
