from Chestertown and the old bridge road, and between two
other short public roads connecting the two above mentioned
highways, said parcel of land containing approximately one
acre; and

WHEREAS, the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
County and the various residents in the community have peti-
tioned the State Roads Commission that the same be taken
over and improved by them as a park for the beautification of
the approach to the bridge; therefore be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of the State of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission is hereby requested
to take over from the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
County the parcel of land above described, and to beautify,
improve and maintain the same as a public park and as an
improvement to the Queen Anne's County approach to the
Chester River Bridge at Chestertown.

NO. 22.

JOINT RESOLUTION requesting the Board of Public Works
to pay out of the contingent fund appropriated to said
Board in the State Budget for the years 1936-1937 the sum
of Thirty-seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($3750. 00) to
William P. Stydinger on account of personal injuries sus-
tained by him on June 19, 1929, while an inmate of the
Maryland Training School for Boys in Baltimore County,
a public agency of the State of Maryland for the care and
reformation of white male minors, and while acting under
orders of the Superintendent, who was discharging an of-
ficial duty and was acting as an agency of the State.

WHEREAS, on June 19, 1929, the said William P. Stydinger
and two other boys were sent by Mr. Harold E. Donnell, sup-
erintendent of the Maryland Training School for Boys, in the
general direction of the cow barns to search for another in-
mate who had escaped, and while acting under orders as afore-
said the said William P. Stydinger was chased by a vicious
bull belonging to the school, and while trying to get away
from said bull he fell into a hole; and

WHEREAS, as a result of falling into said hole as aforesaid
the said William P. Stydinger broke his leg and has been per-
manently crippled ever since; and
