1368 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

eral Assembly if the Old House of Delegates Chamber were
arranged for the use of the Department; and

WHEREAS, the present exhibit of marble, granite, coal, etc.,
could be transferred to the University of Maryland or to
some organization for display and exhibition; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable that this Chamber be arranged so
that it may be used at the next session of the General Assem-
bly; therefore be it

Resolved, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor of the State be and he is hereby requested to have
the Old House of Delegates Chamber arranged and equipped
with suitable tables, chairs, shelving, etc., for the use of the
Department of Legislative Reference before the 1939 session
of the General Assembly; and be it further

Resolved, That the Governor be and he is hereby author-
ized to make said Chamber available for use by the said De
partment of Legislative Reference.

NO. 21.

Joint Resolution requesting the State Roads Commission to
take over and improve as a public park an area of approxi-
mately one acre of land, belonging to the County Commis-
sioners of Queen Anne's County, lying between the old and
new approaches to the Chester River Bridge in Queen Anne's
County, at Chestertown.

WHEREAS, in the construction of the approach to the Chester
River Bridge in Queen Anne's County, at Chestertown, the
State Roads Commission left an area between the old road and
the new road; and

WHEREAS, the residents of the vicinity purchased the entire
property and conveyed the same to the Board of County Com-
missioners and the said Board subsequently conveyed to the
State Roads Commission a right of way which has been im-
proved by a public road forty feet wide connecting the old
bridge road with the new bridge road, and thereby leaving
now owned by the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
County, a small strip of land between the new road running
