HARRY W. NICE, GOVERNOR. 1357

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That a spe-
cial committee consisting of seven persons, two of whom shall
be appointed by the President of the Senate, three by the
Speaker of the House of Delegates and two by the Governor
of the State, be and it is hereby created to represent the State
on Maryland Day at the National Antietam Commemoration.

Approved May 18, 1937.

NO. 7.

Joint Resolution requesting the United States Congress to con-
tinue Federal appropriations for the control of Bang's Dis-
ease.

WHEREAS, the Federal program designed to combat Bang's
Disease in cattle in Maryland has resulted in greatly reducing
the prevalence of said disease, and has proven otherwise ex-
tremely beneficial to the cattle breeding and dairy industries
in the State; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Congress of the United States be, and it is hereby, earnestly
requested to continue the Federal appropriations for the con-
trol of Bang's Disease; and be it further

Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted by
the Secretary of State of Maryland to each member of Congress,
from the State of Maryland.

NO. 8.

Joint Resolution requesting the Postmaster General of the
United States to issue a stamp commemorative of October
11th, known as "Brigadier-General Casimir Pulaski Memo-
rial Day".

WHEREAS, Brigadier-General Casimir Pulaski was recognized
as the foremost cavalry officer of the time in which he lived;
and

WHEREAS, he rendered valuable services to the United States
during the Revolutionary War; and
