1318 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 544

Commissioners for Prince George's County shall not approve
the applications of any person or persons or body corporate,
for licenses for the sale of "Alcoholic Beverages" as herein-
before defined, other than "beer" as hereinbefore defined or
"wine" as hereinbefore defined, within the said corporate
limits of said Town of Riverdale and the Clerk for the Circuit
Court for Prince George's County shall not issue a license for
the sale of any "Alcoholic Beverages" as hereinbefore defined
other than "beer" as hereinbefore defined, or "wine", as herein-
before defined, within the corporate limits of said Town and
any person or body corporate who shall violate any of the
provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be subject to
the same penalties as are provided in Section 2 of Article 2B
of the Code of Public and General Laws of Maryland, pro-
viding penalties for the violation of the provisions of said
section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not
become effective unless and until it shall be submitted to the
qualified voters living within the corporate limits of the Town
of Riverdale as the same exists at the time of submission
which shall be done by printing the referendum on the ballots
to be used in the General Election to be held in the Town of
Riverdale on the first Monday in May, 1937, and the manner
of submission of the question to the voters shall be that on the
ballots of such election shall be printed the words "against
the sale of hard liquor for consumption on the premises",
with a blank square opposite at the right, and the words
"for the sale of hard liquor for consumption on the premises",
with a blank square opposite at the right, and all qualified
voters desiring to vote for the provisions of this Act, shall
place a cross mark (X) in the square opposite the words
"against the sale of hard liquor for consumption on the prem-
ises" and all qualified voters desiring to vote against the pro-
visions of this Act shall place a cross mark (X) opposite the
words "for the sale of hard liquor for consumption on the
premises". 1

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws inconsistent herewith, whether public local or public
general, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsist-
ency, provided, however, that nothing in this Act contained
shall apply to or affect licensee now or hereafter holding Class
F licenses under Article 2B of the Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland as added by Chapter 2 of the Acts of the Special
Session of 1933.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That should any section,
sentence, clause or part thereof of this Act be declared uncon-
