removal, under such agreement and on such terms and for
such compensation as they may agree upon, and such com-
pensation shall not be limited to the amount prescribed by
Section 551 of this Article, or to the manner provided therein
for letting such municipal work but the Mayor and Common
Council may provide for payment on a monthly or annual
basis, and for such periods of time not exceeding a municipal
year as the Mayor and Common Council may deem necessary.
In the event the Mayor and Common Council of Hyattsville
undertakes to remove the garbage, trash, rubbish and other
refuse matter from within the limits of the municipality, either
by its own employees or by contract as hereinabove provided,
the municipality may provide for the disposal thereof at a
public dump or other place provided for the disposition of
such garbage, trash, rubbish and refuse matter and such muni-
cipality, its employees, or the contractor for such municipality,
shall pay a reasonable fee for the disposition of such garbage,
trash, rubbish and refuse matter on such public dump or place
as may be provided for the disposition of such garbage, trash,
rubbish or refuse matter and shall be entitled to a permit to
dispose of such garbage, trash, rubbish or refuse matter at any
such dump or other place provided for the disposition of such
garbage, trash, rubbish or refuse matter. The Mayor and Com-
mon Council of Hyattsville may, however, in its discretion, in
the event it does not desire to use a public dump or other
place provided by law for the disposition of garbage, trash, rub-
bish or other refuse matter, establish a place which may be
acquired by purchase, lease or other agreement, for the disposi-
tion of such garbage, trash, rubbish or refuse matter as may be
removed from within the municipal limits and such place, if so
acquired, leased or contracted for, shall be the municipal dump
of the Town of Hyattsville and the said Mayor and Common
Council of Hyattsville, in the use of such municipal dump for
the disposition of such garbage, trash, rubbish or refuse matter
as may be removed from within the municipal limits of the
Town of Hyattsville and such employee or contractor of the
said municipality undertaking to perform such work for the
said municipality, shall not be required to obtain any permit
or pay any fee for the use of such dump and shall be expressly
exempt from the provisions of any law requiring a permit or
the payment of a fee for the use of such dump.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.
