SEC. 77. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 533.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 127
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Sup-
plement), title "Elections", sub-title "Compensation", elim-
inating the provision which prohibits the payment of addi-
tional compensation to judges and clerks of election in
Queen Anne's and Worcester Counties.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 127 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Elections", sub-title
"Compensation", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments to read as follows:

127. The compensation of all judges and clerks of election
in the City of Baltimore and in the Counties shall be increased
two dollars ($2. 00) per day over and above the amount now
allowed and paid under existing provisions of law. The
Boards of Supervisors of Elections of the several counties shall
have power, with the consent of the County Commissioners, to
increase the compensation of the registration officials not more
than $2. 00 per day in addition to the amount now allowed and
paid under the existing provisions of law.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 534.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wi-
comico County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said
new section to be known as Section 26B, and to follow
immediately after Section 26A of said Article, to provide
for a policeman for certain districts in Wicomico County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
