Wills in the office of the Register of Wills for Frederick County
of all the rest, residue, and remainder of his estate of every
kind and description, unto Michael J. Curley, Roman Catholic
Archbishop of Baltimore City, Maryland, a corporation sole,
for the use and benefit of St. John's Catholic Church, of
Frederick City, Maryland.

28. To the following bequests contained in the Last Will
and Testament of William Jarboe Grove, late of Lime Kiln,
Frederick County, Maryland, which said Last Will and Testa
ment is recorded in Liber J. H. No. 1, folio 195, one of the
books for recording Wills in the office of the Register of Wills
for Frederick County:

(a) To the Farmers and Mechanics National Bank of Fred-
erick, Maryland, a body corporate, the sum of Five Thousand
Dollars (f5, 000. 00), in trust nevertheless, that it will safely
invest and keep invested the same in as profitable manner as
possible, consistent with safety and pay the income and profits
therefrom semi-annually to Saint Joseph's Church, Carrollton
Manor, to be applied to the support of the Pastor of said
Church.

(b) To the Farmers and Mechanics National Bank of Fred-
erick, Maryland, a body corporate, the sum of Three Thousand
Dollars ($3, 000. 00), in trust nevertheless, that it will safely
invest the same, in as profitable manner as possible, consistent
with safety, and pay the income and profits therefrom semi-
annually to Saint Joseph's Church, Carrollton Manor, to be
used towards keeping in good condition the graveyard at-
tached to Saint Joseph's Church, the ringing of the church bell
and the keeping of the church in a comfortable condition on
Sundays, so that Cathechism may be taught herein.

(c) To the Farmers and Mechanics National Bank of Fred-
erick, Maryland, a body corporate, the sum of Four Thousand
Dollars ($4, 000. 00), in trust to be paid to His Grace Arch-
bishop Michael J. Curley, of Baltimore, or his successor, to
be applied toward building a Catholic Church or School at
Adamstown, Frederick County, Maryland, on the lot pur-
chased by me for that purpose; or should it be more desirable,
the said Archbishop's discretion, or his successor, to erect a
school building at or near the present Saint Joseph's Church
on Carrollton Manor, or if the sum above mentioned can b«
used to better advantage in making necessary improvements to
Saint Joseph's Church, Carrollton Manor, the Rectory and
the surroundings, I leave this to the discretion of said Arch-
bishop Curley and his successor, to use the aforesaid fund to
be paid for said purposes or any of them, within five years after
my demise, but if not used as above provided, said sum and
income thereon shall become a part of the residue of my estate.
